I have over 13, fonts, and still this app remains snappy. If you're serious about fonts, and not just a casual user, then THIS is the tool. The new app is a gamechanger for a Windows10 user. As a long time font designer sinceFontExplorer X Pro has no equal.
I'm not a tech whiz, just an illustrator CS6 and CC user. Usages Comic, Newspaper, etc. Whether you've got a hard drive full of typefaces or a few cherished families, FontExplorer X Pro handles your font library quickly, efficiently and reliably. I find this distasteful, as in bad linptype.
No Licensing issues, and full support for CS4. We always listen to feedback and try to implement it in our product. The last problem was a failure to load the FontExplorer X plug-in for Adobe InDesign, so the product is inop at the moment.

About ready to jump to a different font manager. They fontexplroer not work with the latest versions of CC so if fonfexplorer font activation is important to you, you may want to hold off updating your CC apps—at least the ones using those plug-ins InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Advertisements or commercial links. We love our community and it loves us back! Now I don't envy mac fontmanager options anymore. It's very restrictive at work.
This is the second time that plug-in caused major trouble. Once reported, our staff will be notified and the comment will be reviewed. All white and black is harder to use. You can save these templates as well.

I've tried so hard to like this for so long, but I'm thinking it will be time to try out other options soon. A set of amazing features Fontexpoorer is built for designers, by designers. One of the commenters below is basically comparing the Linotype people to drug dealers!
Unless they step it up in the support area, we can't let this one product impact our production to the degree it has. There's also an auto-classifying feature, but that appears not to be working properly at the moment it uses an online database of Linotype's. So should they throw away this perfectly good app and stop developing it? A total waste of money.
Man, people really need to stop overreacting.
